Khoshk Rud (Persian: خشك رود), also Romanized as Khoshk Rūd; also known as Khoshkeh Rūd,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Khoshk Rud Rural District[4] of Rudbast District, Babolsar County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,450 in 368 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,602 people in 508 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,572 people in 522 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
