Babol Posht (Persian: بابل پشت), also Romanized as Bābol Posht; also known as Bālā Bābol Posht,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Babolrud Rural District of the Central District of Babolsar County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,455 in 393 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,515 people in 456 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,539 people in 512 households.[2]
