Tovir (Persian: طوير), also Romanized as Ţovīr, Tavār, Ţavīr, and Tovīr; also known as Ţowvīr and Tuvīr,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Kuhestan Rural District of Marzanabad District, Chalus County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 329 in 91 households, when it was in the former Kelardasht District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 253 people in 77 households,[6] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Marzanabad District.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 519 people in 219 households.[2]
