Mehdiabad (Persian: مهدي اباد)[a] is a village in Zarrin Gol Rural District of the Central District of Aliabad County, Golestan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,748 in 618 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,909 people in 774 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,848 people in 860 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
