Siminshahr (Persian: سيمين شهر)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Goldasht District of Gomishan County, Golestan province, Iran.[3] It was previously the capital of Jafarbay-ye Sharqi Rural District[4] before the capital was transferred to Basirabad.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 13,545 in 2,762 households, when it was in the former Gomishan District of Torkaman County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 15,539 people in 3,666 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Gomishan County.[3] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 17,205 people in 4,493 households.[2]
