Layen Rural District (Persian: دهستان لاین) is in Hezarmasjed District of Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Ahmadabad,[2] whose population at the National Census of 2016 was 480 people in 141 households.[3]

After the census, Hezarmasjed Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Hezarmasjed District, which was divided into two rural districts.[2] In addition, the village of Hasanabad-e Layen-e Now was elevated to city status.[4]
