Soltanabad (Persian: سلطان‌ آباد)[a] is a city in the Central District of Khoshab County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] It is also the administrative center for Soltanabad Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,821 in 1,232 households, when it was in the former Khoshab District of Sabzevar County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 5,495 people in 1,508 households,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Khoshab County, with Soltanabad as its capital and only city at the time.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,932 people in 1,751 households.[2]
