Bushkan (Persian: بوشكان, also Romanized as Būshkān and Booshakan; also known as Būshgān)[3] is a city in Bushkan District of Dashtestan County, Bushehr province, Iran, and also serves as the administrative center for Bushkan Rural District.

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,337 in 513 households, when it was a village in Bushkan Rural District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,279 people in 581 households.[5] The census in 2016 showed the population at 2,135 people in 603 households,[2] by which time Bushkan had been elevated to the status of a city.[6]
