Welcome Home (ただいま、おかえり, Tadaima, Okaeri, lit. "I'm Home, Welcome Back") is a Japanese boy's love slice of life manga series by Ichi Ichikawa. It has been serialized in Fusion Product's Omegaverse Project anthology magazine since November 2015 and has been collected in four tankōbon volumes. The series is published in English by Manga Club. An anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Deen premiered in April 2024.

Plot

Hiromu and Masaki Fujiyoshi are a same-sex married couple, with an unbreakable bond. They are then blessed with the joys of parenthood when Masaki becomes pregnant and gives birth to their first-born child, a healthy little boy named Hikari, thus creating the loving happy family that they’ve always dreamed of.

However in truth, they live in a society where men and women are segregated based on their gender status, and are divided in three different classes: the first are Alphas, people that are considered more dominant and are able to impregnate both male and female gendered individuals with the Omega type-gene, Omegas, are people who can get pregnant and give birth to children no matter if they are male or female, while Betas are simply regular human beings that lack a secondary gender. Due to this, Hiromu’s family has disowned them and refuses to acknowledge their relationship and their grandchildren.

For many years, both Alphas and Omegas like Hiromu and Masaki have faced the most discrimination, especially if they’re in relationships or are married to people of their opposite types, since it is customary for people to date or marry their matching types. Two years after suffering from animosity and harassment in their previous neighborhood, Masaki and Hiromu move into a new neighborhood and city that is better accommodated for raising children. When Hikari turns 2 years old, Masaki and Hiromu later decide to conceive another child, so that Hikari will have a younger sibling to play and grow up with; Masaki then becomes pregnant again and gives birth to their second child, a little girl named Hinata. Despite the prejudice that they face, the Fujiyoshi’s have many supportive friends, neighbors, and co-workers to give them the support, love, acceptance and compassion that they deserve.
