Uninsky District (Russian: Уни́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,130 square kilometers (820 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Uni.[1] Population: 9,178 (2010 Census);[3] 11,179 (2002 Census);[8] 12,955 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Uni accounts for 50.0% of the district's total population.[3]
