Tangi Tehsil is a tehsil located in Charsadda District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.[2][3][4][5]

History

During British rule, Tangi was part of Charsadda Tehsil (then part of Peshawar District).[6]

A notable achievement for Tangi came on 25 March 2018 when resident Dr. Nadeem Jan and Fateh Kheil were awarded Tamgha e Imtiaz by the president of Pakistan.[citation needed]

Graves of religious scholars and famous personalities include Sharo Mian Sahib, Nika Sahib, and Muhammadzai Nika Mazar.[citation needed]

The tehsil is subdivided into 12 Union Councils, including the headquarters - Tangi.[7][2]

The 2017 population of Tangi Tehsil was 428,239.[4]
