Mobarakabad (Persian: مبارک‌آباد, also Romanized as Mobārakābād; also known as Mubārakābād)[3] is a city in the Central District of Qir and Karzin County, Fars province, Iran, and serves as the administrative center for Mobarakabad Rural District.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,230 in 880 households, when it was a village in Mobarakabad Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,235 people in 1,053 households,[6] by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,707 people in 1,319 households.[2]
