This is a list of Chinese Canadians including both original immigrants who obtained Canadian citizenship and their Canadian-born descendants who are notable, have made significant contributions to the Canadian or international culture or society politically, artistically or scientifically, or have prominently appeared in the news.

  • Lieutenant Commander Albert Wong, Retired Canadian Army officer (active Primary Reserves), Aide-de-Camp to Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and Citizenship Judge[23]
  • Isaac H. Hoahing, an immigrant of Chinese Guyana descent served in Canadian Expeditionary Force 1914 and one of 300 to serve in WWI[24]

At the start of World War II Chinese Canadians could not serve in the Royal Canadian Navy or RCAF as they were deemed aliens but could serve in the Canadian Army.

Of the list of notable recruits Daniel Lee was the only Air Force members when restrictions lifted in 1942[25]:

  • John Ko Bong, member of Operation Oblivion to subvert Japanese troops in China
  • Mary Ko Bong, mechanic
  • Neill Chan, sent to India to decipher communications from Japanese
  • Paul Chan, member of Force 136 in India
  • Roy Chan, member of Force 136 in India

  • George Chow, WWII gunner and became Reservist 1953-1965
  • Marshall Chow, wireless operator

  • Daniel Lee, aircraft mechanic
  • Peggy Lee, Womens Ambulance Corps
  • William Lore, RCN Lieutenant Commander, later lawyer and insurance agent in Hong Kong
  • Alex Louie, parachutist serving with British Forces behind enemy lines in India
  • Albert Mah, instructor with the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan in Edmonton before joining China National Aviation Corporation
  • Cedric Mah, pioneering bush pilot served as instructor with the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan in Edmonton and China National Aviation Corporation
  • Roy Mah, member of Force 136 in India and later as journalist in Canada
  • Gordie Quan, demolition specialist in WWII and later served in Reserves postwar
  • Andrew Wong, served with United Ststes Merchant Marines
  • Frank Wong, involved in Juno Beach
  • Henry Albert (Hank) Wong, involved in Operation Oblivion
  • Larry Wong, served with Edmonton Fusiliers
  • Mary Laura Wong (Mah), enlisted with Canadian Women's Army Corps and became teletype operator with Royal Canadian Signals Corps
