Ummet Ozcan (Putten, Países Bajos, 19 de agosto de 1982) es un rapero, DJ y productor neerlandés de ascendencia turca, orientado a la música trance y actualmente al big room house fundador de Oz Records. En 2023, se ubicó en el número 69 de la lista realizada por la revista DJmag.

Es conocido por el diseño de sus sintetizadores de software y soundbanks para la creación de música house como Rob Papen (Albino, Predator) y Acces Music (Virus).^[1]​

Biografía

Empezó a producir en 2006 y creó su propia discográfica Beatproviders^[2]​ en el año 2007 y editó varios lanzamientos para el sello de Sander van Doorn, y para el sello de trance Reset Records. Reconoce como una de sus principales influencias al compositor de bandas sonoras Hans Zimmer.^[3]​

En 2010, se unió con el productor holandés M.E.M en un proyecto musical llamado Soundshaperz. En 2012, colaboró en el álbum Evolution de Paul van Dyk donde juntos produjeron la pista "Dae Yor".^[4]​ En 2013, empezó a incursionar en el género big room house con el lanzamiento de "The Code", una coproducción con el dúo W&W para el sello Revealed Recordings. Le prosiguieron producciones editadas por Spinnin' Records como "The Cube", "Airport" y "Here & Now" (Esta última siendo la primera de Ozcan en subirse a la disquera) . A fines de ese mismo año, participa junto a NERVO y R3hab en el sencillo "Revolution" y remezcla "Eat Sleep Rave Repeat" junto a dúo belga Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

En 2014, Ummet Ozcan volvió a orientarse en la Música Trance colaborando con el DJ y Productor Paul van Dyk, con el tema "Come With Me"

En abril de 2015 lanzó junto a Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike el sencillo "The Hum", cuyo video cuenta con la participación de Charlie Sheen y Jean Claude Van Damme y los mismos Ummet Ozcan y Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

El 21 de febrero de 2018 lanzó su propio sello discográfico llamado Oz Records la cual es una subdiscográfica de Spinnin' Records. El primer lanzamiento de Oz Records es Krypton que fue publicado el 19 de marzo de ese mismo año.^[5]​
