Municipality

The municipality Sintiki was formed at the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the following 6 former municipalities, that became municipal units:[2]

Province

The province of Sintiki (Greek: Επαρχία Σιντικής) was one of the provinces of the Serres Prefecture. Its territory corresponded with that of the current municipality Sintiki, and a small part of the municipality Irakleia.[4] It was abolished in 2006.
