My name is Ryan Olson and I'm a current student at the University of Minnesota here in the Twin Cities studying economics and political science and I hope to be a teacher one day When I was thinking about where I want to go to college and the big three things I was looking for was where am I going to get a great education where am I going to live for four years and what's going to be a great value for me and it was really easy to come to a decision to come to the University of Minnesota because it had all those three things I was looking for CLA to me is two words: diversified and interdisciplinary I came to the liberal arts because I knew it would teach me the skills that I would need to be that critical thinker that flexible worker who knows how to work with people (These are the things that really matter to students) It's seriously awesome to live in the city and go to school It was actually one of the biggest thing for me when I tried to decide a college I cannot think of a more exciting place than Minneapolis/Saint Paul It's the center for arts, culture It's the center for sports.. I'm a sports fan I guess It's the center for government the center for education You have a lot of opportunities that go beyond campus area That's why I like it so much The only thing that limits you in the College of Liberal Arts is you
