I’ve never been at 9000 foot elevation so I always thought that if you're up this high you'd be having troubles with shortness of breath. It didn't happen. It was actually quite deceptive. There was no indication that it's 9000 feet. The little green hillsides, the clouds blocking out the sun. The yellow you see on the hillside is wildflowers This just looks like an ordinary little mountain area, valleys. It doesn't seem like it's 9000 feet. But here's a simple logic that goes with coming up to 9000 feet If you come up one side, from Wyoming, to an elevation of 9000 feet, you going to have to descend from that down to the valley below. And descent was every bit as spectacular as coming up to this 9000-foot elevation One of the most remarkable things is that as the road is switch backing and back and forth From many areas you got a glimpse of the valley far below. But even before we got there, there are pull-outs, telling you about how this land was created. The Fallen City and the Big Horn Mountains It’s just an absolutely stunning drive, and And America has all this. I mean in a few hours from the Lowland valley of Wyoming, Pronghorn antelope you go up into the mountains. You're at 9000 feet traveling along and then you just send down into South Dakota. It is absolutely spectacular. The roads are awesome. The weather for us was spectacular. Highly recommend it. Only thing I can say is try to take longer than what we did because we were on their way to a destination. We really couldn't devote as much time to this beautiful land as we would have liked to. But we will return one day. That’s like one of those things, “I will be back”, Arnold says. Well, I’m saying we will return one day because It deserves more time. There’s just so much to see an explore. And like I said, from these pull-outs, you can see right down to the bottom of the valley. Not already we had come down some so maybe we’re at 8000, 7500-foot elevation But the road just switches back and forth. And the other thing that’s neat is that was all the red rock here when they make the roads, like you know in many areas you hear about blacktop, two-lane blacktop all this or you have concrete roads. Well here we had red-top. The roads were red. I love it. America is so amazing. It was just a fantastic trip, and we were only it's for the third day. I have never seen a look out like this. This is like being up in an airplane it’s so far down. Dayton has a population of 797 souls.
