The Party of the Christian Democracy of Brazil (Portuguese: Partido da Democracia Cristã do Brasil, PDCdoB) was a political party in Brazil that was provisionally registered to contest the 1989 presidential election.[1] The party ran the candidate Manoel Antonio Horta, who won just 0.1% of the total votes in the first round.[2]
In November, a group from the party participated in the creation of the Labour Party of Brazil (PTdoB).[3]
Later, PDCdoB, PTdoB and the Brazilian People's Party sent a request to the Superior Electoral Court to merge the three parties, which was rejected in April 1990.[1]
