Moses ben Hanoch

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Moses ben Hanoch or Moses ben Enoch (in Hebrew: משה בן חנוך, Moshe ben Hanoch) was a medieval rabbi who inadvertently became the preeminent Talmudic scholar of Spain. He died about 965.

Moses was one of the four scholars who went from Sura, the seat of a once flourishing but then declining Talmudic academy, in order to collect contributions for that school. During a voyage from Bari, on the coast of Italy, they were captured by the Moorish-Spanish admiral Ibn Rumahis, who, according to the legend, became enamored of the beautiful young wife of Moses. In distress she asked her husband in Hebrew whether those who were drowned in the sea could look forward to resurrection, and when he answered, in the words of the psalm, "The Lord saith, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring them again from the depths of the sea," she cast herself into the waters and was drowned.

Moses was taken to Cordova with his young son Hanoch, where he was redeemed by the Jewish community, in the year 945 or 948. While there, he went to the schoolhouse where he acted as a server, and sat in the corner listening quietly to the Talmudic discourse of the judge and rabbi, Nathan. At the time, the Jews of Cordoba were not well versed in the methodology of study of Talmud due to the centralization of Torah study in Babylon. Some of Rav Nathan's remarks attracted attention, and Moses' detailed explanation of the passage quoted by Nathan, his use of Rabbinic Aramaic and his ready answers to all questions addressed to him astonished the whole assembly. Nathan, therefore, on that very day voluntarily resigned his office and confessed himself Moses' pupil. The wealthy community of Cordova showed Moses much honor and immediately elected him rabbi. Hasdai ibn Shaprut, rejoicing at this event, induced the Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Rahman III to order Ibn Rumahis to forgo the higher ransom which he, in consequence, was demanding for Moses. Moses organized an important school at Cordova, which was independent of the gaonate and was attended by many pupils; and through him Cordova became the seat of Jewish scholarship.

We're now going to do something of great value, we're going to start a shiur (talk) on the Zohar The Sacred Zohar. This is a very complex concept profound, difficult and the most difficult thing is to decode the messages it contains. Before we start and to give time for everyone to arrive I would like to hear your ideas on what you think the Zohar actually is I'd like to hear your ideas to get some idea of what you've heard, what you believe it to be. Then we'll put your ideas into focus and after that begin the class because for 5 minutes I'd like to listen to some of your comments about your ideas on what it is. It's the Soul of the Torah, the Soul of the Torah in all its deepest meaning. The most profound aspects of the Torah the wisdom and the deepest meanings of the Torah. To be able to understand it ... The Torah uncovered without klipot (Hebrew = shell, husk) the written Torah and also the oral tradition. Does anyone have anything to add? Secrets - secrets of what? secrets probably obtained by a system of extraordinary perception or meditation. Could you repeat that please, I liked what I was hearing? Probably obtained through a system of meditation, of some special perception beyond what is considered normal. OK, now I have some idea of what you think the Zohar is Any more ideas? Good. So now we shall start the class on the Zohar, today is October30th 2011 and we are at the Yehiel Foundation Yehiel Foundation and we are about to begin a shiur on the Sacred Zohar and, of course, on its author Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai and we're going to start by describing what exactly the Zohar is, first the basic concepts, who Rabi Shimón Bar Yohai is and after that we'll go directly to the secrets of the Torah. Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai was a rabbi who lived in Galilee, which today is part of Israel, During the Roman Occupation after the destruction of the Second Temple at the end of the First Century and the beginning of the Second century of the Common Era. He died in Meron on the 18 Iyar and during his life this man was extremely vocally critical of the Roman Governor against the Governor who condemned him to death. He escaped from the Romans and hid in a cave for 13 years with his son and his followers to escape this sentence and during these 13 years his wisdom evolved to an extraordinary level, and without him the Zohar would never have been bequeathed to us. He was a pupil of Rabbi Akiva Ben Josef and the secrets to which he refers did not originate in this world. The Zohar is written in Aramaic and is a commentary parasha (passage from the Torah) by parasha the biblical text, in other words from the Jumash (the Torah in book form as opposed to the scroll) although it also has an introduction entitled 'Preliminaries' which is quite thorough and says that the Secrets of the Torah gathered together in the Zohar or 'The Splendour' or 'The Book of Splendour' or, in other words, that which explains what we ourselves are incapable of explaining, comes from another world. In the cave where he spent 13 years he was visited by beings who were not human beings called angels, prophets extratrrestrials, beings from another dimension, and there were three in particular. First the Angel Metatron who is the chief of all the angels. He is an eminence in the spiritual world within the structure of spiritual forces who have no physical manifestation. Metatron is the uppermost. He appeared to Rabbi Shimob Bar Yohai to explain the secrets of the Torah. He expained the evolution of humanity from its beginnings to its end and expained how he was going to redeem the world. He expalined all of the Torah and then during the process of studying the Torah in these 13 years he is visited by the prophet Elijah, Elijah the Prophet, and is also visited by Moses who is referred to in the Zohar as 'the faithful Shepherd' Moses is called the faithful shepherd the texts of Moshe Rabenu, Moses, are the most profound texts to be found in the Zohar. The Zohar is structured like a conversation between Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai and his followers who are 4 in number. One of these is Rabbi Eleazor, Rabbi Shimon Bar Yoheji's son Rabbi Yosef Hiya Rabbi Yehuda and Rabbi Isaac and these 4 pupils with Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai and they're going to have ... The Zohar is structued like a conversation a debate on different subjects 0:08:39.500,0:08:42. of the Torah between the pupils and their Master between the Master and Metatron between the Master and his pupils and Elijah the Prophet and between the Master and his pupils and Moses. And here we have something totally metaphysical because Metatron was Enosh (grandson of Adam and Eve) Janoch Elijah the Prophet is from another era 0:09:10.670,0:09:13. and Moses as well 0:09:13.550,0:09:16. and the Zohar talks of them as if they are people whio were present, physically with them, in their body 0:09:23.820,0:09:27. and who materialised to explain secrets which, in this world, we can't possibly explain. The Torah as we know it is the biblical text and consists of a series of 0:09:42.560,0:09:47. stories some 0:09:48.880,0:09:50.0 terrible some beautiful 0:09:52.670,0:09:55. but which all contain 0:09:55.980,0:09:57. a hidden message within them called 'The Secret Codes of the Torah' and these codes came down decoded to Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai and to all his followers in the cave I just mentioned in a way that allows us to consider the Torah as the body of a pedagogical message and we can consider the Zohar to be the soul of this body or rather a little more than the body. To understand what the Torah is just as when we want to get to know a person his physical appearance can give us an idea but when we speak to him and see what kind of personality and what qualities or shortcomings he has then we see the soul of that person and we get rather a different idea than that which his physical appearance gave us. It's the same with the Torah in its tales and stories we get an idea but after, when with the secrets of the Zohar, we get to its soul and then begin to know G-d and His enormous depths - there is a law to the secrets of the Torah as follows: if you don't know Him and it's not possible to know G-d just as it's impossible to know a person without interacting with them it is not possible to interact with G-d without knowing the secrets of the Torah. just like nobody can have faith with any great certainty or have love for his Creator if he doesn't know the secrets of the Zohar and doesn't know the Divine Essence which underlies these texts. if we want to know how G-d is we have to study the Zohar. And, if my class is successful, and this is a big 'if' because I've never before given a class on the Zohar in this way 0:12:12.310,0: although I've studied it for more than 20 years I've never, i way, taught it. I could say that I'm a lover of G-d but if my class is successful after 0:12:24.260,0:12:26.560 we have immersed ourselves in the secrets of the Zohar all of you wiil be lovers of G-d too otherwise I will not have done my job correctly. This is the effect it's had on me let's see if it happens to you. In real terms the codes that are in the Torah and revealed in the Zohar have one sole objective: to induce happiness in whoever studies it, total and absolute happiness. Later on we'll understand why there are so many unhappy people - actually it is because they don't study the Zohar, nothing else, because the Zohar will teach us how to control events, will teach us to connect with the spiritual world, will teach us how to open the doors to the world above, it will show us the essence of our Creator and only the study of it will bring us enormous happiness, I want you to know something. In previous classes we defined the different levels of the soul. What are they called? From the bottom: Nefesh which is the vegetative or animal soul. Ruaj which is the animal emotional soul. Neshama, which is the intellectual soul Haya which is the spiritual soul. Yejida which is the soul of G-d fused with 0:14:39.760,0:14:43.590. those who attain this level. Nefesh Ruaj Neshama Haya Yejida 0:14:46.239,0:14:49.500 We know that Moses got to the level of Haya, Moshe Rabenu. That means he connected with the soul of G-d connected with Divine Thought Yejida is the soul of the Messiah which blends with the soul of G-d and with Divine Thought, it's a fusion. Yejida comes from the word Yijud which comes from Adjut 'union' in other words it has merged, or, I I can be in touch with someone but this person remains separate from me but I can be fused with them and so this person is inside me. So, we have Nefresh Ruaj Neshema Haya and Yejida and the Zohar can take us up to the level of Yejida. We'll demonstrate this. You have noticed that there are 5 levels, right? There is a Hebrew letter whose value is 5. Which is it? The letter Hey The letter Hey has a numerical value of 5 and in the word 'Zohar' you have the letter Hey. What did we say has 5 levels? The levels of the soul, isn't it? OK, so Zohar you write like this: Zayin Hey, Resh We can see that the letter Hey is in the middle the letters that remain are two that when joined together form a word in Aramaic - Raz: Resh and Zayin Resh and Zayin which in Aramaic mean 'secret' The secret of what?? Of the letter Hey What is the letter Hey? The 5 levels of the soul. What, then, is the Zohar? It's the secret of how the 5 different levels of the soul function in man: Nefesh, Ruaj, Neshama, Haya and Yejida. In other words the Zohar will stimulate these 5 levels of the soul. And, of course, who is capable of stimulating all the levels of the soul? Nobody in this world! And why? Because the soul is not something recognized in the scientific world neither is it accepted from a logical viewpoint, nor by the 5 senses. The soul is an essence that eludes our rational perception. Therefore we need to access another type of perception This is what the Zohar tries to do, to lead us to this new type of perception. So, we have said that the Zohar is a commentary on the Torah parasha by parasha The first parasha (Torah section) is Bereshit which is 'The Beginning'. The second is 'Noah' and the third 'Lej Leja' but before we go on to this parasha, I mean that in the sections of the Torah there are a series of preliminaries which are conversations between Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai and his pupils in which thetre are a variety of subjects of all types and as I want to teach the Zohar from the first part of the first parchment scroll to the last page of the last parchment I'm going to deal with the preliminaries as well. So, today's class and the next two or three classes will be about the preliminaries. We aren't starting on the Torah commnetaries yet. It's an open ended topic about all the other topics - this is what 'The Preliminaries'is. It begins like this: Rabbi Izkya says: They're commentaries, a kind of open conversation just as the rose grows with thorns just as my loved one grows amongst the girls that's what it says it's a commentary and it seems quite obscure we have to decipher this metaphor because the Zohar is full of metaphors which you have to uncover. So, who is the rose? The rose is the people of Israel they're called the rose and so it's very important that you note down the language of the Zohar because the Zohar will give definitions of words so that if we make a dictionary of these definitons later, when the Zohar uses these metaphysical words we'll need to know what it's saying. So the first word of our dictionary of the Zohar is that 'rose' means Israel the People of Israel Let's see what the 'thorns' represent let's see, who is 'the loved one'? All this must be decoded and we're starting creando un diccionario to put together a dictionary to enable us to understand the Zohar Could you repeat the sentence? 'Just as the rose grows with thorns so my loved one grows among the girls Why does Hakadosh Baruju (G-d) call the People of Israel 'the rose'? I would underline these words which are going into our dictionary because later on, in the same notebook you'll have 200 or 300 words which will become your dictionary for understanding the Zohar. It says why is the rose sometimes white and at other times red? White is the symbol of Compassion and Mercy and red is the symbol of hardship, harshness So it is that sometimes there is well-being and sometimes hardship and suffering and so it is for the People of israel but it also says, which is very nice, that the rose of which it is talking has 13 petals and what are these 13 petals? The are the 13 qualities of Mercy of our Creator. In other words this is a people which has to strive to have the same qualities as its Creator and there it is identifying just as a father has a son and wants him to have the same virtues as he has so it is aligning with the 13 attributes of Compassion. That's to say that above all we have to be a compassionate people and if we aren't then one has to ask oneself if one belongs to the People of Israel. A Jew who doesn't possess the attributes of compassion would be a contradiction. Is he a Jew or isn't he? What are the thorns? The thorns are all the nations who do not have these 13 attributes or rather who judge others with harshness. Whoever judges with harshness is called: thorn and whoever judges with compassion is called th People of Israel and here we see how serious it is to criticize others because when we criticize with harshness we are no longer the rose we are the stem with thorns. Has anyone ever picked up a rose and been pricked by the thorn? The rose is very pretty but the stem can hurt you similarly, we must be careful about what we say we could change from being the petals of the rose to being the thorny stem. And now we begin to talk of the 'middot' or virtues. It also says that there are roses with 5 petals. What do the 5 petals refer to? They refer to the human hand with its 5 fingers which holds up the Kiddush Cup the cup of wine for the Sabbath and the holy festive days which is called the Cup of Blessings and what does this mean? That this is the People destined to bring down blessings. That is how it is defined. So the 13 petals is a People which possesses the 13 attributes of compassion and the 5 petals represent a People who hold up the cup of wine or bring down blessings and all this we obtain from decoding the metaphors. And here begins another topic: they say 'The Light was concealed and enclosed within the alliance'. What is the Light? And what is the alliance? And why does the Light have to be enclosed within the alliance? We see that from the literal meaning we don't understand a thing. 'Light' in Hebrew is 'Or' Alef Vav Resh. I'll write it down. Its numerical value is 207 Or, Alef Vav Resh 1, 6 and 200 Alef has a value of 1, Vav 6 and Resh 200 Total 207 and we said that the word Zohar is Raz He: Secret of the letter Hey. So imagine: the word Raz is a Resh and a Zayin which make 200, and Zayin is 7, so we have 207 so each time we talk of light we're talking of Raz or the secret. The secrets of this world were concealed and enclosed in the 'berit' or the alliance which means that this world holds secrets. Where are they? In a strong-box? What is the strong-box? The Berit. What is the Berit? Where does the word Berit, alliance, appear in the Torah What is the-strong box in which the secrets are enclosed? Well, we know the Brit Mila which is the pact of circumcision. The secrets are hidden in the pact of circumcision. There's also the Sabbath called Brit Olam the alliance of the world. There are the tefilin (filactories) which is also an alliance or a pact. There is the rainbow which is an alliance G-d made with the world when the Flood receded and Noaj (Noah) escaped with all his family and G-d swore an oath and said 'I'll swear an oath to the world that I will never again destroy the world or its inhabitants'. And there is also the alliance of the heart, the Brit Lev an alliance with human qualities and now we'll re-read the text: The Light was concealed and enclosed within the Berit But the Berit always refers to, so says the Zohar ha Kadosh Berit BERIT, Brit B-E-R-I-T, what does the Zohar say? It says the the Berit is the principle of fertility which means that all that we have talked about which is the union of the Saturday Sabbath, the alliance of the rainbow and the allianc of the circumcision is talking of the fertility principle. What is the fertility principle among the Berit we've been talking about? The Brit Mila which means that in the secret of the circumcision that in the circumcision are hidden and locked up the secrets of the Torah. Because it is written that the Berit is the symbol of the principle of fertility which penetrates the rose y impregnates it. Such complicated terminology! So What is the principle of fertility which penetrated the rose and inseminated it? What is the Rose? The People of Israel Now we're learning something and who inseminated the People of Israel? The Creator And when he inseminated them where lies the secret? The day of the circumcision and how do you deal with all this How does one handle the Brit? It say it talks of the principle of fertility it isn't talking about Shavuot (Jewish religious festival) but the prinicple of fertility which means that the secret of G-d is in the semen of Israel and note how it tells it - The light was hidden and concealed in the Berit, the symbol of the principle of fertilty which pentrated the rose and inseminated it now you can understand now we've decoded it. It says 'just as the the symbol of the alliance is made up of 42 grains of fertile matter the symbol of the alliance is made up of 42 grains of fertile matter, that's what it says and, once again, we're faced with words which need decoding 42 - what do you think? What is it? Ana Bejoaj is a poem What is the Ana Bejoaj? It is the intials of the 42 names of G-d. Where are they engraved, the 42 names of G-d? Just as the symol of the alliance, Brit is made up of 42 grams of fertile matter The 42 names of G-d are etched into the semen of the People of Israel and these 42 names, see what the Zohar is telling us, the same fertile material that constitutes the name of G-d engraved ineffably are the 42 letters with which was completed the work of the Creation which tells us how G-d created the world, all the worlds and the entire universe: with these 42 names and where these 42 names are engraved I'll say it again, it is made up of 42 grains of fertile matter. Now we turn to a new topic which is useful for the creation of the dictionary of the Zohar, of the vocabulary of the Zohar. We've defined what the rose means what the petals signify what the alliance represents what 'light' is, the meaning of the thorns and we're putting together our dictionary. la clase próxima In the next class I'll be speaking of these concepts without giving the definitions so we need to learn the dictionary by heart, if not we won't be able to follow everything and other words will be used from the dictionary. Rabbi Shimón Bar Yohai says Flowers sprung up from the earth. What are these flowers? The flowers are the souls of the patriarchs. On the first day of the Creation G-d created the soul of Abraham. On the second day of the Creation he created the soul of Isaac, on the third day of the Creation G-d created the soul of Jacob. On the fourth day the demons fell to Earth and coincided with with the creation of the planets. The fifth day of the Creation is called the day of the turtle dove which is when G-d says we are creating Man Adam was born and I say it in the plural we are creating Man. He hadn't done it yet but he says: we are making Man. Why? because he created the planets on the fourth day and the planets have a soul, an intelligence capable of creating matter G-d creates souls the planets create matter the planets will create the physical body and G-d will create the soul within the physical body and so G-d said on the fifth day nothing should be made yet we shall make the soul of Man. He gives the order to the astral beings to create the physical body and he breathes the soul in through the nose of Man. later he will also say something in the fist person plural just as he said 'Adam was born' he'll say 'Naase veyishma' the same words 'we will do and we shall understand' and what does it mean 'Naase Veyishmá'? it means the we shall keep the Sabbath this is what 'Naase Veyishmá' means. And what is Shabbat? asks the sacred Zohar it is the 'Olam Aba' - the world to come named also 'the country of life'. Going back now to the flowers - What are the flowers? What are the flowers? They are the Patriarchs - the patriarchs The zohar says, 'The souls of the Patriarchs are hidden in the other world which means they are not from here so from where have they come? - from another world they come to inhabit, in this world the body of a true prophet. This world or this universe? from this world they are not from this dimension they're not from this universe not part of our comprehension not somethnig you can see with a telescope they are fom another world these souls are a different concept parallel to ours but not possible to see. But what was it saying about the flowers it sai flowers appeared on the earth which means he brought souls to this world from another world. The things Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai says! So, if you don't keep this dictionary you're going to get lost. So the souls of these Patriarchs are concealed in another world from where they migrate and come to this world to inhabit the body of a true prophet and this is also what happened to Joseph the Tzaddik, the patriarch Joseph Joseph was also a prophet and the sacred Zohar says - that the flowers found shelter in Joseph which is to say that Joseph had within him the soul of Abraham, of Isaac and Jacob not easy to comprehend three souls together in one physical body and this teaches us a lot about the transmigration of souls. Three huge souls can enter one body they came from another world and this is what happened to Joseph the patriarchs came to inhabit his body when he arrived in the Holy Land and the souls of the patriarchs came to reside in the Holy land. it says- careful now - the rainbow, what is it? we said just a moment ago: it was a pact which G-d made not to destroy the world after the Flood he would never again destroy the world it says 'when the rainbow appears it is the moment to destroy those who are guilty but the guilty one will be saved' because the patriarchs will appear due to the merits of the children who study the Torah in other words the moment that the rainbow appears we have to understand that there has been a decree to create a flood the same as Noah's and who argues that this flood should not take place? The souls of the three patiarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who are on earth and who say 'Stop! and G-d says'Why should I stop? And they say for three reasons. First because you're making a judgement secondly because something good has happened What is it? The little children who study the Torah. Who are the children? Are they kids of 5 years old? us what do you mean 'us'? could be the descendants of the patriarchs The little children are those who study 'the esoteric doctrine' in other words the Cabalists because of the goodness of those who study the Kabbalah the rainbow summons up all its power and the guilty are not destroyed due to the goodness of the cabalists who study the Zohar - these are the children these are the ones who sustain the world the cabalists The Zohar. This preliminary part goes on to another topic of conversation and says the word 'Mi' Mem Yud be careful because it's important. undersanding the Torah The word 'mi' mem Yud signifies the secrets of the world above the name of G-d 'Ele' Aleph Lamed Hey signifies all those things which are visible so if we have the world above and the world below 'mi'is for the the secrets of the world above 'ele' is for the visible things to be seen on earth and this forms a name of G-d with 'mi-ele' and What is it? Elohim that's it very good 'Bereshit bara Elohim' which means in the beginnig He created the secrets of the world above and the physical, visible things. Together two things were created 0:45:13.629,0:45:15. and 'Bereshit' how is it read? 'Bet Reshit' two beginnings which means 0:45:19.690,0:45:20. he created the world above and the world below. He created the secrets of the heavens and all things tangible but we can't live only with tangible things because we'd be livng like crazy people with only one half of the big picture. Imagine someone who loses the notion of time and believes they're living in the Napoleonic Era because they're missing a whole dimension a whole dimension so all those who exist only in the physical world leave the spiritual world aside they're missing a parameter in their lives 0:45:59.559,0:46:02. just like mad people they're missing a dimension. This is why we have the Star of David because one triangle represents the physical world and the other triangle the secrets of the heavens and they have to be balanced. That's why it is the symbol of the people of Israel who acknowledge the two worlds and there is another word which is 'ma' Mem Hey which stands for the secrets of the Earth because the earth also has its secrets Mem Hey represents the secrets of the Earth. That's why when we speak of Elohim we're not talking about gods plural we're talking about the secrets of the heavens together with the tangible world which combine together or rather the soul and the body or in other words Elohim is not a plural word (even though it ends in -im) rather a concept. Rabbi Shimon Bar yohai had a nickname which they called him in the Zohar they had a name for him they called him 'The Sacred Lamp' but the sacred Lamp is a code name. What does Sacred Lamp mean? las lámparas en santa The Sacred Lamp according to the Zohar means the most profound mystery of Divine Thought so this is the vision of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai He had experienced Divine Thought in its most profound nature and we are uncovering them here or what we are actually studying are the thoughts of G-d himself and these secrets of the Holy One are revelaed to us through Rabbi Eliaza, the son of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai There are entire texts which show what the prophet Elijah had revealed to him. Now, when we read the first sentence of the Torah of the Bible Bereshit bar-a Elohim Bereshit 0:49:50.399,0:49:53. has a numeriacal value of 913 the same as the word 'Ibonenut', to meditate What does this mean? 'Bereshit' means here 'meditation' or 'by meditation' 'Bara' 0:50:07.430,0:50:10. in Hebrew means 'I believe' 'Elohim' means 'That which I believe' mi-ele stands for the secrets of the heavens and the things we can see. So by meditating we can access the secrets of the heavens and create physical matter which tells us that through meditation we can create physical events and material - this is what it's saying. The first three words of the Torah Bereshit bar Elohim through the medium of meditation with the secrets of the heavens physical events can be created. We'll have a break now and then we'll do some meditation 0:51:18.539,0:51:23. and then we'll continue with, I think, at least another 5 or 6 classes maybe even more but I don't want to pressure you because there's a lot of vocabulary so we have to go on setting up a dictionary and I want to say that 0:51:37.199,0:51:39. when you get a bit more used to taking notes we could have a notebook specifically for vocabulary one thing is the concepts, the other is the vocabulary so that when we continue you'll have 0:51:53.479,0:51:55. the vocabulary of the Zohar and you'll be able to decode what Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai is saying. As you know we're in the month of Cheshvan the month of Scorpio the ruling planet is Mars. It is a month of conflict 0:52:20.209,0:52:23. but the Hebrew letters that reflect this sign of Scorpio with the planet Mars itsletters bring Mercy to the world 0:52:39.019,0:52:41. then, if we meditate with them in this difficult 0:52:42.469,0:52:43. month we can be protected by these letters. The letter that symbolizes, that represents the planet Mars is the letter Dalet 0:52:55.679,0:52:57. and the letter that symbolizes the sign of Scorpio is the letter Nun. Let's bring these two letters to the world 0:53:06.669,0:53:08. to soften the harshness of this month. 0:53:13.419,0:53:16. So we shall meditate on these two letters Dalet and Nun to soften this month for ourselves and foreveryone else too. So let's put our feet parallel hands open on the knees breathe in deeply 3 times Now we visualize ourselves inside a gold Star of David the size of this room 0:54:16.219,0:5 then we visualize another gold Star of David we call up the letter Dalet which is very large 0:54:30.429,0:54:34. and white in colour and then we light it up then we call up the letter Nun 0:54:42.909,0:54:49. and we light it up now we unite the flame of the letter Dalet 0:55:00.219,0:55:03. with the flame of the letter Nun in one single flame which rises through the point of the Star of David which acts as a screen for us as we are observers and this light enters the upper point of our Star of David and enters our cranium and lights up our brain and goes down 0:55:29.569,0:55:34. to the heart and lights up the heart then goes down to the liver and lights up the liver then goes back up to the brain and illuminates the brain and then goes back to the heart and illuminates the heart then it accelerates its rythmn like a piston it goes up and down heart brain, heart brain, heart brain, we expel this energy from our brain and it swirls around us like a cloud of white-coloured energy but which now rains down flakes of energy all around us magnetizing our aura with the 2 intelligences of the Dalet and the Nun Now our being is magnetized and we make a circle and put our planet earth in the middle as if it were a football and we project from our heart to the earth this energy of Dalet and Nun which we now possess in our aura which now leaves our heart to surround the earth which is in the centre of the circle which we have just created of course it's not fixed to the ground rather it's a globe which is floating around us and now we bring compassion and mercy to the world in this month of Cheshvan and as we have seen in the class on the Zohar that the 3 patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are those that block harmful decrees we see how these 3 souls descend to the world 0:58:31.389,0:58:38. to protect it. We breathe deeply 3 times 0:59:21.019,0:59:22. to bring us back and return to our physical bodies. 0:59:26.449,0:59:28. Now breathe out 0:59:28.899,0:59:34. and breathe in and out deeply 3 times 0:59:34.589,0:59:39. another time 0:59:41.849,0:59: and now we open our eyes Did anyone visualize anything they can tell us about - Mateo? I saw there were angels with us who helped us 1:00:22.309,1:00:27. protect our planet and blessed us all 1:00:33.729,1:00:36. Let's see, Josselien? 1:00:36.749,1:00:41. what it showed me ... is that we shine our light from our hearts onto the earth and you said ... and at this moment you saw the 3 patriarchs and you said something to them and then they said something you saw them and then you talked to them very good and then 1:01:10.959,1:01:16. there was a light 1:01:16.359,1:01:18. really bright beautiful not violent but immense which shone onto the earth and Jacob the patriarch was there - very big I don't know why it is this time and they were all there together, they stayed together all together 1:01:45.699,1:01:47. and then you made us open our eyes and then they left us they went away. I did everything you told us to without anything else happening. Something curious happened to me during your description 1:02:10.009,1:02:12. at a certain moment I had the impression that there was a being 1:02:17.449,1:02:19. maybe a spiritual being sky blue in color beautiful but completely formless 1:02:24.700,1:02:27. which was flying all 1:02:29.659,1:02:30. around us and then it flew out of the room in this case and then I thought if it's me I'd better put a Star of David but it wasn't me it was some other being that went round in circles I felt attracted to it but then thought 'no', I thought it was the same but no 1:02:50.079,1:02:52. I don't know what it was 1:02:52.799,1:02:58. and then I did the rest as best I could 1:02:58.939,1:03:02. Can you explain this to us? it's because there are dimensions that penetrate this dimension and through the medium of meditation we can access them with our physical eyes no, but through our 1:03:13.779,1:03:15. spiritual eyes we can so the meditation allows us to connect with other worlds although in your normal life you possibly connect with nothing. It's only here when we meditate that we connect and we can actually see things that with the naked eye we don't see and there can be intervention, we're not alone when we do the meditation There is certainly intervention, perhaps more than you can imagine. A sensation of happiness 1:03:45.939,1:03:50. and a huge amount of light as well. I saw the patriarchs like focused light I saw the patriarchs but like clouds not light you told us that the 3 of them came down stretching out their hands to our circle and when you said to put the globe in the middle it was like the 3 clouds were like a single cloud covering the earth like an umbrella? it wasn't like light, more like a cloud. I felt that each time I enter this world 1:04:45.869,1:04:48. the meditaion grows, has more dimension and I also notice that each time I do the meditation I want to come back less Oh! You feel good there, no? I understand just what you mean! I saw the 3 patriarchs but more like shadows but from the shadows I saw that each one had his hand on the earth as if caressing it, caressing it or supporting it and I noticed that the three were stroking it in a gesture of affection, playing with it 1:05:40.149,1:05:42. as if it was a toy ball, they were just playing wih it and it makes us happy. it was clearly for me an orderly meditation without.... Deborah? Barbara? No Sarah? Well, I tried to send messages of health especially 1:06:23.099,1:06:24. to areas of conflict to people suffering and particularly to people who are angry 1:06:33.339,1:06:38. and don't know how to channel it and then the m 3 patriarchs descended 1:06:42.189,1:06:44.639 but I could only see Jacob I couldn't see the others Ok very good Ok we'll close the session 1:06:55.219,1:07:01. and you... you? Well, the same guides who taught Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai 1:07:08.170,1:07:10. were here with us and they supervised this meditation so everything you've seen is not coincidence so it is very nice that we've had guests at our table. who are very welcome not visible to all but nevertheless very welcome.
