Kochenyovsky District (Russian: Коченёвский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the thirty in Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the eastern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 5,072 square kilometers (1,958 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Kochenyovo.[1] Population: 43,850 (2010 Census);[3] 46,378 (2002 Census);[8] 46,148 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Kochenyovo accounts for 37.3% of the district's total population.[3]
