![The Hon. Jordan Lawrence Mott, Jr.'s centerboard schooner Magic (formerly Madgie). She was originally a sloop modelled by her first owner Richard Fanning Loper and built in 1857 at the T. Byerly & Son shipyard, PA. Her later owner Franklin Osgood had her entirely rebuilt in 1869 at the David Carll shipyard, NY, prior to her successful defence of the 1870 Queen's Cup.
