Hovvdy is an American indie pop duo formed in Austin, Texas by current members Charlie Martin and Will Taylor.

History

The duo began their career releasing an EP in 2014. The following year, they released a split with the band Loafer. Hovvdy released their debut album, Taster, in 2016.[1] In 2018, Hovvdy released their second full-length album titled Cranberry.[2][3][4] In 2019, the duo released a split with musician Hannah Read, known as Lomelda. The album found Hovvdy and Lomelda covering each other's songs. The two also went on a summer tour to promote the album.[5] The duo's third album, Heavy Lifter, was released in 2019.[6][7] The band's fourth album, True Love, was released on October 1, 2021.[8]

Their self-titled fifth studio album was released on Arts & Crafts on April 26, 2024.[9]
