Basab (Persian: بساب)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Sabzdasht Rural District of the Central District of Bafq County, Yazd province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 171 in 51 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 310 people in 103 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 234 people in 87 households.[2]
