Afrineh (Persian: افرينه), also Romanized as Afrīneh, and Afrīnah; also known as Afrīneh-ye Bālā and Afrīneh-ye ‘Olyā,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Afrineh Rural District[4] of Mamulan District, Pol-e Dokhtar County, Lorestan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,185 in 460 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,986 people in 517 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,944 people in 555 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
