Formation

The brigade was formed in 2016. It was armed with T-72 tanks.[1]

2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine

On the 24th of February, 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine, the unit was sent to help defend Kyiv. It also took part in Battle of Izium (2022).[citation needed]
