This list of Nepenthes literature is a listing of major published works dealing with the tropical pitcher plants of the genus Nepenthes. It includes specialised standalone publications and taxonomic monographs released as part of larger works, but excludes regular journal and magazine articles.
Unless otherwise indicated, all information on individual publications is sourced from them directly. Works are listed chronologically by year of first publication.

Nepenthes are carnivorous pitcher plants that have fascinated humankind since their discovery. Nepenthes grow in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and some other spots like Madagascar the Seychelles, New Caledonia and Micronesia. There are about 136 known species and all of them are featured in this app with high resolution photographs. These photos represent the epic journeys made by numerous explorers to some of the most remote habitats on earth. Whether you're an expert botanist or just curious about carnivorous plants, Nepy offers you a complete overview of every species, including photos of the different pitcher types. And if you feel up for a challenge, well, there's even a visual quiz. Nepy is totally free and does contain any ad-banners. You can find it on the App Store and Google Play. Only the primary prosaic language is listed for each publication, although many of the earlier monographs also include substantial portions of Latin text in the form of taxon descriptions. Some of the taxa formally described in these monographs are not considered taxonomically valid today.
