Iran–Mali relations are the bilateral relations between Iran and Mali. Both countries are members of the Non-Aligned Movement.
History
Both countries established diplomatic relations on 12 April 1975.[1]
In 2022, for the first time in a while, Mali voted against condemning Iran at the United Nations.[2]
In 2023, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi hailed the leadership of Mali and Burkina Faso as "Resistance to colonialism".[3]
In 2023, Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani said Iran is prepared to share its equipment, experiences and capabilities in training with Mali in the war against terrorism.[4]
Diplomatic Missions
Iran has an embassy in Bamako.[5] Mali has an embassy in Tehran.
