The CJ-100 (Chinese: 长剑-100; pinyin: Cháng Jiàn 100; lit. 'long sword 100'; NATO reporting name: CH-SSC-13 Splinter),[4][5] also known as DF-100 (Chinese: 东风-100; pinyin: Dōngfēng 100; lit. 'east wind 100'),[1] is a Chinese strategic, long range high-supersonic land-attack cruise missile.

The missile system is reportedly capable of engaging land-based facilities, reinforced targets, underground bunkers and large warships.[6] The range is reportedly around 2,000 to 3,000 kilometres (1,200 to 1,900 mi). The missile can be mounted on a 10x10 transporter erector launcher (TEL) vehicle in pair of two,[1] or possibly launched by the H-6K bomber.[4] US Air Force's China Aerospace Studies Institute identified and determined CJ-100 is in the People's Liberation Army service as of 2019, and full operational capability (FOC) of the missile system can be achieved by 2022.[7]

Design

Unlike most cruise missiles in the world, nearly all flight phase of the CJ-100 is at supersonic speed.[8]
