Биография

Получил бакалавра гуманитарных наук в Университете Халла, магистра гуманитарных наук в Суссекском университете^[англ.] и доктора философии в Университете Халла.^[2]

Профессор литературы модерна и постмодерна кафедры английского языка и гуманитарных наук в Бирбек-колледже Лондонского университета.^[2]

Ежегодно в весенний и летний семестр^[англ.] преподаёт в качестве заслуженного приглашённого профессора (англ. Distinguished Visiting Professor) в Колумбийском университете.^[2]

Является автором статей в The Guardian и BBC, и неоднократно приглашался для дачи интервью о своих работах для BBC.
