Toro (topónimo: Tooro) es uno de los cuatro reinos tradicionales en el interior de las fronteras de Uganda. Se fundó en 1830 cuando el rey (en rutooro: Omukama) Kaboyo Olimi I, hijo mayor del Omukama Nyamutukura Kyebambe III, se rebeló, estableciendo su propio reino independiente. En 1876 Toro se reincorporó a Bunyoro, pero se volvió a independizar en 1891.

Al igual que sucedió con las de Buganda, Bunyoro, Busoga y Nkore, la monarquía de Toro fue abolida en 1967 por el gobierno de Uganda, pero se restauró en 1993.
