La Temporada 2008 de la NASCAR Sprint Cup Series fue la 60ª temporada de la categoría estadounidense de stock car NASCAR. El calendario consto con 36 fechas más dos carreras de exhibición, Comenzando el 9 de febrero en Daytona International Speedway con los Budweiser Shootout para dar pie a las 50th Daytona 500 y finalizando el 16 de noviembre en Homestead-Miami Speedway celebrando la Ford 400.

El piloto Californiano Jimmie Johnson consiguió el título sobre Carl Edwards con un Chevrolet impala SS del equipo Hendrick Motorsports, cosechando 6684 puntos y 7 victorias a lo largo de la temporada. En esta temporada se dio el debut oficial del Car of tomorrow, ya que en la temporada 2007 solo se utilizaron para carreras seleccionadas del calendario.
