De Wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre

El río Mayo se encuentra en el sureste del estado mexicano de Sonora. Hay una presa importante, llamada Adolfo Ruiz Cortines, nombre otorgado en honor de uno de los presidentes de México, ubicada río arriba, con el propósito de generar electricidad, así como el riego para la agricultura en el Valle del Mayo. Se encuentra a 30 km al este de la ciudad de Navojoa.
