John Cromwell Mather (nacido el 7 de agosto de 1946 en Roanoke, Virginia), es un astrofísico y cosmólogo estadounidense.

Fue galardonado con el Premio Nobel de Física en 2006 junto con George Smoot, por sus trabajos en la NASA en el proyecto COBE.
