En la mitología griega Eufrósine (en griego Εὐφροσύνη, ‘júbilo’, ‘alegría’) era una de las tres Cárites, hija de Zeus y de Eurínome. Algunos piensan que es la Cárite intermedia entre Talia y Aglaya. Como indica su etimología, simboliza la alegría. Eufrosine se caracteriza y destaca por ser la más alegre entre sus hermanas, y llevaba en su mano izquierda una especie de pulsera color dorado. Al igual que sus hermanas Eufrósine adornaba su pelo con algunas flores y en una de sus manos sostenía una máscara alegre representando la felicidad, cuyo don ella repartía.
