Zarneh (Persian: زرنه)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Zarneh District of Eyvan County, Ilam province, Iran. It was the capital of Zarneh Rural District until the capital was transferred to the village of Taran.[4] The city is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,909 in 605 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,118 people in 748 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,966 people in 785 households.[2]
