Hi everyone! We hope that everybody is doing well! Michael left us and arrived in Belgium already. On our side we drove back North a bit. We are in Morry Bay. It's close by a small town called Los Osos. So why did we drive back up North while we are supposed to cross the border to Mexico in a few days? We have great news to tell you. We are going to do a partnership with GoWesty. The company is specialized in parts and accessories for Westafalia vans. They are worldwide known for what they do. We are so happy and excited to meet them. They are going to install new bumpers on our van and some other things too. We have to meet them tomorrow morning. See you there! There we go! We are at GoWesty! Here is the entrance behind me. There is a van already! Pretty neat! I'm gonna show you guys around. Because they will start the installation in about 10 minutes. I'll do a quick tour. Right behind me it's the main entrance. It's pretty cool. It looks like this inside. It's so nice. And then you can also stay in their parking lot which is right there with other vans. For people like us they thought about installing a toilet and a shower. That is so convenient. It might not look like it but it's luxurious for us. Having a toilet and a shower when we wake up is amazing. Behind this there is their big warehouse where they organize the shipping and everything. I'll show you what we are going to add to our van. Can you explain? For now when we want to leave our trunk open we have to use these blocks. Because our spare wheel is directly built up on the trunk. So we'll put the spare wheel on a swing away system mounted on a new bumper. On the other side we'll have the same system with a storage box and diesel jerrycans. We don't want to break down in the middle of nowhere in Central or South America. It's nice to have extra jerrycans. I see that there is the same set right there. The spare wheel will look like this. On the other side there is the box and the jerrycans. Everything is mounted on the bumper. We are so excited about that. We'll have more space inside and it will be safer with the extra jerrycans. And we'll look like real badass vanlifers. It's gonna be nice. Let's go! They are still installing the bumper. It's a lot of work so it takes a while. I'm in their office to start editing our blooper that's coming up soon for the Patreons. It's pretty funny to do. I'm in the main entrance that I showed you earlier. That's the inside. It's very nice. I'm with Loka. She is sleeping. I'm going to see how it goes over there. How is everything here? The left side is already done, with the spare wheel. It takes a bit more time than expected. So we'll have to finish the right side tomorrow. It should be done by tomorrow. It looks pretty good! We'll see how it goes. See you! We are back in the garage to finish installing the bumper. The front and the rear one. We are so excited. The storage box will be here. And the diesel jerrycans will be right above. It's going to look good. Also as GoWesty Ambassadors we got some T-shirts and hoodies. I'm wearing one right now. They are so cool. We have some new socks too that I love. Sam is also wearing the socks. And the amazing T-shirt. They are going to finish this today. Again thank you GoWesty to support us on our adventure. Thank you Weston. Let's do this! The installation is over! We are so happy! They did an amazing work. Again thank you so much. We are very proud to collaborate with GoWesty. It took a bit more time than expected but it's done. You can see the result here. It looks awsome. It took more time because we have a high top. They are not used to see those in North America so it was a bit tricky to install the clips above. But they did it! The people here are so amazing. Now that we have a storage box we'll try to arrange the van and to clean it too. Sorry in advance GoWesty if we put some mess in your parking lot. We'll do a van tour right after that. We are done with the cleaning part. It's a good thing that needed to be done. It feels better now. It was a long day but very productive. We finished right before sunset. Perfect timing. We have more space inside now thanks to the storage box. We put all the big products. Like the oil, the laundry detergent, the mosquitoes net, the cables and so on. It's very useful. It's quite big! Follow me for the inside. Nothing really fancy inside. Everything is clean and well organized again. Like I said we have more room. For example we had a lot of tools under the seat before. Watch out Loka! Now we can put our reflective panels that used to hang around all the time. We use them almost everyday. There is one reflector for each window. We use them at night because it protects us from the light. And because we are more invisible from the outside. And when the sun is up it keeps the van cooler. It's very useful! They won't hang around anymore. Besides that.. What are you doing over there? No! Besides that we also invested in a new fridge because ours was broken. So we have a new fridge that keeps everything cold. We even have an ice compartment. It does not consume a lot so it will be perfect for the warm countries. Besides that nothing really changed. Just Loka's food that takes some room. So it was the time to arrange everything. We sorted out our clothes too. We still have the hell hole that is right there. It's pretty deep. So we just put our warm hoodies that we hope we won't use the next months. That's it for the van tour. It's over for this vlog! We wanted to thank again GoWesty and the whole team because they did an amazing job and they were so nice! Yes, we are very proud to collaborate with them. It's an achievement for us. We contacted them several times and it finally worked. We are very lucky too. I'm not sure we can talk about luck. I think that a lot of people on the road tell us that we are very lucky to travel and to do it while we are young. But there is a lot of work behind our project. We tried our best to solicit the right persons to have enough money to realise our dream, this journey. There is a bit of luck in everything but work and perseverance are the keys. It's true for our project but also for any other project. When you have a goal and that you put all your energy to achieve it, it will work. That's what we think at least. Even if we only have 4.000€ left in our bank account to reach Patagonia. It means normally one more year of travel. If we keep on doing like this we'll make it through. We'll have to find solutions to make money on the road. It's a day-to-day challenge. When people tell us that we are lucky they might not realise what's behind. It's all about making good decisions. We just need to find a solution everytime we face a problem. Now we are too short on money so we'll find a way to keep on travelling and to make money on the road. It leads us to meet awesome people. We are realizing that our goal is to reach Patagonia but the most important thing is the people we meet on the road. With GoWesty for example we met an awesome team. Even with our Patreon account. If we would have had a lot of money we would have never discover this platform where we met nice people too. Argentina is the goal but the encounters will stick in our minds forever. That's the most important thing during this journey. Upon those words of wisdom we'll see you guys next week. Yes! One vlog a week now so it's pretty intense. But it's fine because we are learning a lot. We are heading to Mexico. So we'll see you guys in South California next week. Yes! Ciao!
