So, actually I originally started out as a business major, and I was taking a wide variety of courses at U of O, where I first started to take science classes, and it was when I originally enrolled in organic chemistry, I found the subject required me to really think and solve problems, and it was that new type of thinking that got me motivated then to join a research lab, and within just a few months of joining the research lab, I knew this was something I enjoyed, I was excited and I couldn't get enough of it. So two years later, here I am and excited for my future. So after I graduate I have plans to begin this summer as a graduate student at Cal Tech, where I will be conducting research in organic methods development. So i wanted to acknowledge my undergraduate research adviser, Professor Liu, who has helped me begin my early scientific career with the knowledge to not only be technically skilled but to also build character based on principles of integrity, team spirit and honesty.
