Future

The station is to be relocated by December 2025 as part of the South Wales Metro and has been included in the Wales & Borders franchise.[2] This is to improve safety and convenience.

Services

Mondays to Saturdays, there is a half-hourly service southbound to Cardiff Central via Cardiff Queen Street, continuing to Barry Island and Bridgend via Llantwit Major in an alternating fashion.[3] There is a half-hourly service northbound to Merthyr Tydfil via Pontypridd.
