NARRATOR: There is a legion. A legion of bravery. Of hope. Of the extraordinary. They lie amongst us, preparing for battle, waiting to rise and change things for good. Some are gifted in ability, others are trained to master it and some have it bestowed upon them at birth. But they all must choose - fulfill their destiny or reject it. However, time is running out. The uprising is brewing and the only hope we may have is in their choice to be who they are meant to be. So you want to know more about this legion? This legion of extraordinary dancers? Then we must start in the middle. Each story, one by one, of how the uprising began. The first of which is the tale of Trevor Drift. The boy, his destiny and the secret his family always vowed to keep from him. DAD: Trevor, are you hungry? TREVOR: Yep. DAD: Great, we have some very delicious food for you. TREVOR: Okay. DAD: Salads, very healthy for you. Here you go. And remember to always keep your hands clean. Very important, Okay? TREVOR: Okay. DAD: Okay, I'll be there. DAD: Trevor what are you doing? You can't be doing that. That's too dangerous, okay? ANNOUNCER: Don't forget prom is this Saturday. Last chance to get a date to the biggest event of your high school career. BRENDAN:Yo, we going to this thing or what? ALICE: Are you asking me? BRENDAN: Oh, I'm sorry. All right, Alice Wonderbuns... ALICE: It's Wondershaw. BRENDAN: Excuse me, Wondershaw. Will you go to prom with me? ALICE: Mmm okay. BRENDAN: Ay yo! I'm gonna go. Talk to the boys. See what we're gonna wear. It's gonna be good. ALICE: Okay. ALICE: Hey Trevor Drift. You going to prom? You know you haven't been to anything all year. TREVOR: Well you know, my dad doesn't really like me going out. ALICE: Maybe he'll let you out of your castle this time. It's your last dance, you know. You should come. DAD: Absolutely not! Look. Kids are gonna be drinking there, you haven't even finished your project. TREVOR: I did. I finished it! DAD: Look, I'm your father and that's my decision. No! BRENDAN: Whoops! Oopsie, what's this?! Ooh cool! Yeah, you might need that to wipe you ass later. Hey, come here. You look good. Uhh huh? Yea? You like it, my butt? Oooo. DJ: Vin, the kid's here, we got company. DJ: Bring him in. BRENDAN: What do you think you're doing? Move! BRENDAN: Forget all that. BRENDAN: Boys, Excuse me. Sorry guys. You guys, hand spins? Excuse me. You guys seriously buy this? This is so easy! Anyone can do that! Ooo! Oh hey! Ooo! BRENDAN: Right? So dumb! Check it out. Oh, handstand! Check it. Uhh one hand! Ouch. Stupid. Oh, okay! Alright! Yeh. Oh, move, this is a move probably. This is probably a move. Look at me, I'm a B-boy. Ehhh. I'm a B-boy. Ehh ooo! Stall. OBSERVER: You ready? TREVOR: Yeah. OBSERVER: Let's roll. ALICE: Trevor. THE NARRATOR: Sometimes, a moment can change things. Sometimes, in an instant, our choices are made for us. The retaliation of an enemy. The realization of a truth. The betrayal of a lifelong friend. Yes, indeed, it is the small moments that change everything. Including two best friends, bonded by brotherhood, yet separated by circumstance. JIMMY: Hey, yo, Justin, Justin, come on, check this out, man. Let's go inside. JUSTIN: What kind of place is this? JIMMY: Yo, what is this place, man? Check it out. JUSTIN: Whoa, this is sick. It's crazy, dude. JIMMY: Go in there. Stop being a girl. JUSTIN: Let's go inside, come on. JIMMY: This is sick. Ancient, antique. JUSTIN: That's your type. JIMMY: Dusty. JUSTIN: Just like your mom! JIMMY: Yo, Justin! Justin! JUSTIN: What's up? JIMMY: Are you ready for my bow staff skills? JUSTIN: Bow staff? JIMMY: Can't even hold on to it man. JUSTIN: Let's go! Ahhhhhh! JIMMY: That was close man. JUSTIN: Cross the line! I dare you! JIMMY: Man, I'm not even gonna waste my… JUSTIN: Whooaaaa! JIMMY: Bro. Bro, you alright? Yo, stop playin'. JUSTIN: Help me up, man. JIMMY: You all right? JUSTIN: That hurt. JIMMY: My bad, not really though. Wahhhh! JUSTIN: I got you. Whoa! JIMMY: Whoa. How'd you do that? JUSTIN: I don't know. JIMMY: Yo! I gotta get me some of that! Watch out, man. JUSTIN: Look at you. You look ridiculous, man. Dude, you don't actually believe that's what got me to do that? JIMMY: Stop hatin', man. You're trippin', it's gonna work. Just watch. JUSTIN: No way, bro. JIMMY: Aww yeah, man. JUSTIN: Yo, check this out. COLE: Cole Waters here. Reporting to you from the warehouse the government doesn't want you to know about. As I've been reporting on my website, this place has been under heavy surveillance by me. In the past couple months, these, these, these odd items have been getting shipped into this recently "abandoned" warehouse. The items include such stuff as clocks and colored lights, sneakers, thousands of empty test tubes, weird stuff. But this story keeps getting stranger. These two young men defy gravity as I'm watching them. I found this, this symbol the other day. Oh crap, ok, ok, listen. This is Cole Waters reporting to you from colewaters.com. More info to come. JIMMY: Where were you today? JUSTIN: I gotta go. I got this in the mail. JIMMY: The LXD? JUSTIN: They want me to train with them. JIMMY: You gotta do what you gotta do. JUSTIN: Keep your head up, all right? You'll be next. JIMMY: AAAAAAHHH ! Life is not fair. Sometimes dreams do not come true, sometimes you're not the hero in the story of your life and sometimes people die before they're supposed to. Life is not fair. But fair has nothing to do with who you are inside, what you dream about, who you love, and what you stand for. Life cannot touch that, war cannot touch that. Doctors, dark, dark doctors cannot touch that. WOMAN: (Screams) The past can be forgotten, but it cannot be ignored. At some point, it is a part of who you are and a part of who you will become. The past is always right behind you. Watching, waiting for the moment to come rushing back when you least expect it. The uprising was no mistake. It was planned. It was preordained. Ready to begin whether they were ready or not. We were not ready. We were certainly not ready for this. Good morning, Mr. Spex. Good morning. Your meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham has been pushed back to two. Your lunch with Alexander Lefaux has been confirmed. There's an all-firm meeting at five today, and your wife said look in the top drawer. Paris? Oh God, I'm so jealous. Oh you two are so cute. I hope she got the chocolate we sent. Yes, thank you, Miss Harlow, thank you. Oh, and the new guy starts today. Poor Tom. So weird, his office being used again. Yes, thank you, Miss Harlow. Spex, meet the new guy, Tendo. Welcome. Tendo? Pleasure. Okay. Here we go, Tendo. If not, then who is? Well maybe I'll call you later on tonight. Good night, Mr. Spex. Good night, Miss Harlow. Come on. PHONE: Spex? The uprising begins. Get the letters ready. We need to warn the others. No, we have no time. We may need recruits. Hello? VOICE: Spex, we have your wife. WIFE: Please, please help me. God, oh God. WIFE: Help me, help me. VOICE: Shut up! (Scream) The leaders had feared this day would come. But to take one of our own meant we needed to take matters into our own hands. The recruitment of new blood, the generation that would fight this war and finish it once and for all had to be called to action. The LXD called on their past to find their future. The lettermakers would bear the responsibility of building that army. OBSERVER: Z, Dante. DANTE: Where's Trevor Drift? OBSERVER: He's waiting out front. DANTE: We must go. Strange winds give way. DANTE: The uprising begins. OBSERVER: And the others? Z: They should be on the way. We gotta go, let's go right now. Let's go! No matter how much we run, our heart stays with us. No matter how much we deny our desires grow deeper. No matter how much we sacrifice our souls will never be satisfied until we find love. And love finds us in return. Sometimes, however, for the good of the group, no matter much we love we must deny it and accept that our duty is to feel nothing at all. Katana and Jato were always the first to sacrifice. RADIO: Good morning, it's 5 AM... (Music) KATANA: It's been a long time. NINJATO: Way too long. And the others? KATANA: I don't know. NINJATO: I'm sure they heard it. Don't. We should go. They'll all be waiting. NARRATOR: Love. Love is supernatural. Love can be binding, love can save, love can make you do the most unthinkable actions. To save the life of her husband, a deal was made between a young woman and a doctor. The deal was to give her life for her husband's. If only the doctor had taken her life, she would have been a happier woman. THE DARK DOCTOR: Where is he? AUTUMN: I don't know. THE DARK DOCTOR: We had a deal. AUTUMN: I know, but he's my husband. THE DARK DOCTOR: He was dead, shot, mortally wounded. I gave him life again. You're supposed to follow my will and train him to join the uprising. AUTUMN: (coughing) I can't. He knows. I can see it in his eyes. THE DARK DOCTOR: A deal's a deal! And you will do as I say. You will get him back. (Eerie Music) We choose the path we take, but sometimes that path can change. The East becomes the West, the North becomes the South. The normal becomes the abnormal, the fantasy becomes the reality. But other times the path chooses us,and we have no way to fight it but to go along with the adventure. Thus is the case with Elliot Hu, an unsuspecting passenger on the train of the exceptional. But is it a gift or a curse? Only time will tell. (Music) ELLIOT: (grunts) ELLIOT: Woah. (Radio Changes Stations) (Music) (Radio Changes Stations) (Funk Music) (Radio Changes Stations) (Pop Music) (Radio Changes Stations) (Rap Music) (Radio Changes Stations) (1920's Big Band Music) (Radio Changes Stations) (Sexy Music) (Radio Changes Stations) (Punk Music) (Radio Shuts Down) (Radio Turns On) (Acoustic Guitar Music) Oh, God. He's found them. NARRATOR: Like all heroes, there were fans of the LXD. People who had heard about the mythological armies of the superhumans and would do anything to be apart of it. Sure, they might not have had the extraordinary gifts of the others, but they had the heart, the will, and the courage to train to be one. Not all fans are created equal, but the story of the Fanboyz proved that even the fans can become the heroes. Dude! So amazing! Look at this guy, he's going crazy! As you guys can see, these guys are pretty awesome and I heard that there are even more people out there like that. And according to Cole Waters, an expert on this subject, the LXD are looking for new members. And we could do this, we could get in! Remember Prom this year with Trevor Drift? The kid that went crazy on the dance floor and then was sent away to boarding school? Rumor has it that he wasn't sent to boarding school. He was actually recruited to The LXD. (Laughter) Yo, come on. Take it serious. We could do this. Take it serious. Come on, listen. Every hero has a call to duty and this could be our time. (Bang on Wall) It's the video club! Hooray! Hey did you guys get those new processors you were wanting? Hey, guess what I'm gonna do tonight? I'm gonna RAM your motherboard, ey-oooo! Take a look at my hard drive! Haha, dorks! Okay, okay. Maybe we're not the most popular kids at school. Maybe we don't have any special abilities, but that doesn't matter. Think about it: Timothy,Solomon, Frog, Zin... all these comic book heroes that we love created their own destiny. We're seniors this year. This could be our last chance to show everyone what we got and what we deserve. And Cole Waters recently posted a blog describing how people are making it into the LXD and I think we should give it a shot. So, you guys in or are you guys in? We can do this. I'll shoot it. All right, let's put it in. Video Club on 3. 1, 2, 3! Video Club! Good-day, this is Cole Waters reporting to you again from colewaters.com. This is an exclusive. Now, I've been studying the behavioral patterns of the members of the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers for several weeks. Now from my research, I believe that I've cracked the code to the process of which to become a member. Step 1: You must master a specific style of dance. (Music) Step 2: Perform your abilities on camera and post the video online. Don't forget to use the space that you re in: cafeterias, libraries, a forest. Wherever you're at, use your surroundings. Step 3: You must have a unique style. Now it's not just that you can do the right moves or perfect something. You must have a unique style that no one else has. Finally, Step 4: Be patient. It may take time to get noticed. They will come after you if they appreciate your skills. Now, this is just a theory that I've come up with. I'm sure there have been countless attempts to enter the membership, but I've never interviewed anyone who's an alleged recruit. So please,if you decide to make a video and it works, let me know. If not, I may be wrong or you may just not be extraordinary enough. Good luck. Obviously the LXD doesn't exist. Why can't you accept that? Waste of my time, thanks. So you all gonna leave me, too? No, man. We got you. We don't need them. We're best friends, right? Gimme some love. I like that, man. Let's get outta here. Go home. We got good footage though. That's right, we did. I know we got some good stuff in the kitchen, some of that stuff in the girls' locker room. Girls' locker room! That's right. Yo, how come we haven't see you dance yet? Come on Minijack, put the camera down, no excuses, you're not doing this no more. You're getting down, there's nobody around. Let s do this. All right, I guess I can do something. Look at that, baby. You got it! Okay, all right! Whoo! Minijack! Finally, comin' through. We need to upload this. Of course, let me go get my camera. Wait for me, guys! OH SNAP! Oh my God! Woooooo! Hahaha, we did it, we did it! Oh my gosh. Minijack, we did it! I gotta call my parents! Wooohooo! Yah, baby, yah that's right. LXD. We're in LXD, baby! I got in, I got in! We made it, we made it, we made it! Oh my God, yes! NARRATOR: Fans, destined heroes, messengers, best friends, the doomed, and the damned; All had roads that fit into the bigger pictures even if they couldn’t see it themselves quite yet. But there was one last pair who had no place at all, loners whose demons would haunt them their entire life. But one was a prophet, the other was a rebel. I seen a man. I seen a man with the crack of lighting in his feet. I seen a man who feeds his soul through his soles. But his mind is not laced tightly. His spirit is twisted, ankle to the road of his surroundings. I seen a man and he has gift, but beware his heart may be callous and his will keels at nothing. I seen a man with illusionary razor blades cutting further into his attention span, unaware of the passing years he has yet to catch up to. Now he marches in mediocrity with the capacity to be great. Only his dreams separate him now. Thoughts that filled the air, a tear of split- ends that confuses him of his insight. I seen a man with whom where the fourth walls clouds his thoughts from his everyday persistence; when required words try to find one another explore every part of his existence. The existential, experiential, surrealistic, unbound potential wakes him up at night, subconsciously aware of the thoughts that fill the air. As death falls upon deaf ears, a puddle of life turning. Lined eyes becomes the sear of light beyond the sight of mortal fear. I seen a man. I seen a man. Where could I find this man? I seen a man, there. I seen a man. NARRATOR: And so it was. Those chosen warriors were suddenly brought together for a calling greater than themselves, greater than they could have ever imagined. Each making their own way towards their destiny. The only thing they knew was it was called The LXD, the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. And this was only the beginning...
