Tango, the challenger

2001: Tango is among the first operators to offer GPRS connection in Europe.

2003: Luxembourg became the 5th countries in the world to have access to UMTS (3G) thanks to Tango.

2007: 3 years after 3G, Tango was the first operator to bring 3G+ to Luxembourg and to commercialize the iPhone .

2010: Creation of Tango’s Professional customers services division in order to penetrate the Corporate market segment.

2011: Optical fiber arrived in Luxembourg and Tango was the first operator to offer that technology. And besides, Tango decided to modernize its mobile network in order to meet the LTE standards.

2012: Once again, Tango was the first operator to launch its 4G network. The company became the first alternative operator in Luxembourg with 86% of spontaneous awareness.

2013: Tango launched a landline service on the cloud for small businesses (today Fix4bizz).

2017: Tango decided to unbundle its fiber subscription. The same year, due to EU roaming regulation, the company became the first luxembourgish operator to fully include EU communications in its mobile subscriptions.

2018: In March, Tango release an updated version of its TV offer "Tango TV", offering new features such as replay, multiscreening, timeshifting among others.


Tango is the second largest of Luxembourg's three main mobile telecommunications operators. It competes with Orange Luxembourg (formerly VOX mobile) and POST Luxembourg.
