Stewart Norton Silver[1] (June 29, 1947 – July 18, 2023) was an American screenwriter and television writer best known for such films and television series as Throw Momma from the Train,[2] Webster, It's a Living,[3] Bosom Buddies[3] and Soap.[3] Silver also wrote the first half of Good Morning, Vietnam.[4]

Silver died from complications of prostate cancer in Rochester, New York, on July 18, 2023, at the age of 76.[5][6]
