Sterling Township is one of nine townships in Crawford County, Indiana. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,603 and it contained 804 housing units.[3]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 48.47 square miles (125.5 km2), of which 48.41 square miles (125.4 km2) (or 99.88%) is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 km2) (or 0.14%) is water.[5] Bluegill Pond and Grant Lake are in this township.
