Shimo-Kawabe Station (下川辺駅, Shimo-Kawabe-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of  Fuchū, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company (JR West).[1]

Shimo-Kawabe Station is served by the JR West Fukuen Line, and is located 27.9 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Fukuyama. [2]

Station layout

The station consists of one side platform serving a single bi-directional track. The station is unattended. [2]

History

Shimo-KAwabe Station was opened on 28 July 1938. With the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR West.

In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 14 passengers daily.[3]
