Satar (Persian: سطر), also Romanized as Saţar,[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Kolyai District of Sonqor County, Kermanshah province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Satar Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,284 in 354 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,227 people in 326 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,048 people in 325 households.[2]
