Saint-Denis Saint-Leu FC was a French football club founded in the summer of 1996, following the merger of FC Saint-Leu (which played in the National) with US Saint-Denis, a club from the Division d'honneur. The goal of the merger was to create a "large suburban club with European ambition",[2] capable of occupying the brand new Stade de France.

Dominique Rocheteau was the general manager. The club applied in March 1998 to become the resident club.[2] At the end of the 1997–1998 season, after only three seasons of existence and due to financial difficulties, the club was administratively relegated to the CFA (Championnat de France amateur).[3]

The following season, despite an 8th-place finish in the CFA, the club was relegated to the Division d'Honneur. Despite its financial problems, the club achieved two remarkable runs in the Coupe de France, with two qualifications for the round of 32 in 1998 (2–0 defeat against Lyon) and for the round of 16 in 1999 (2–0 defeat against Rouen after beating Angers 1–0 in the round of 16).

In 1999, the two cities separated and each went their own way back to the Division d'Honneur.
