Bronze medal – third place 2022 Hangzhou Mixed 35 km race walk

Ram Baboo is an Indian track athlete. He won a bronze medal in the team 35 km race walk event at the 2022 Asian Games.[3][4] His achievement received widespread coverage as he was working as a daily wage labourer and a waiter at a hotel even as he was training for athletics.[4]

He had earlier established a new national record in the Men's 35 km race walk event at the 2022 National Games in India.[5]

He did his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya[6] and did 6 months training at Major Dhyanchand Sports College, Saifai and then moved to Bhopal for his training.[7]
