The Seattle Seahawks made their first playoff appearance in 1983, and after defeating the Denver Broncos in the wildcard, and the Miami Dolphins in the divisional, they were tasked with going up against the Los Angeles Raiders in the AFC Championship.[4] The Raiders would win this matchup 30-14, and would go on to win their third Super Bowl in franchise history that year.[5]
