R. Chandrasekar Gounder is an Indian politician. He was elected to the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Manapparai constituency in 2011[1] and retained his seat in the elections of 2016. He represents the AIADMK (ALL INDIA ANNA DRAVIDA MUNNETRA KALGAM) party.[2]

Personal life

R. Chandrasekar Gounder belongs to a Urali Gounder community which is a majority in the Central Districts of Tamil Nadu which comprises the districts of Trichy, Dindigul, Perambalur, Pudukottai, Sivagangai, Salem, Karur and western regions including Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruppur.
