Paigaon is a large village in the Chhata constituency of the Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is connected by road to Kosi Kalan and Shergarh. Chhata railway station is the nearest railway station. According to the 2011 census its population was 9,464. According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Paigaon village is 123693. Paigaon village is located in Chhata tehsil of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh, India. As per 2009 stats, Paigaon village is also a gram panchayat.

The total geographical area of village is 1448.19 hectares. Paigaon has a total population of 9,464 peoples, out of which male population is 5,239 while female population is 4,225. Literacy rate of paigaon village is 53.32% out of which 65.78% males and 37.87% females are literate. There are about 1,512 houses in paigaon village. Pincode of paigaon village locality is 281401.

When it comes to administration, Paigaon village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. As per 2019 stats, Paigaon village comes under Chhata assembly constituency & Mathura parliamentary constituency. Kosikala is nearest town to paigaon for all major economic activities, which is approximately 10km away.[1]

Culture

A two-day fair is organized every year in Paigaon. Which is dedicated to Naga Baba, a great saint of Paigaon. Naga Baba was a great devotee of Krishna.

Language

The native language of Paigaon is Hindi, Braj Bhasha and most of the village people speak this language and use it for communication.
