The Malayan flat-shelled turtle (Notochelys platynota) is a species of turtle found in Southeast Asia.^[1]^[4]

Distribution

It is found in the mainland Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Peninsular Malaysia,^[1]^[4] Myanmar, Cambodia, Singapore^[4]) and in parts of the Malay Archipelago (Sumatra, Java, Borneo).^[1]^[4]

Type locality: "in India Orientali", later restricted to "Sumatra; Singapore" by Gray (1863:177).^[4]

Habitat

This species can be found in lowland forests and wetlands, including streams and small creeks.^[1]
